Residents' Day at the Legislature

On April 17, 2025, residents from Maine Medical Center will be meeting their legislators, getting a tour of the Maine State Capitol, and attending both the House and Senate legislative sessions.  Following the State House tour, the residents will be meeting for lunch and a Problem-Based Learning Discussion.

2025 Fall Business Meeting
NEW LOCATION

The next meeting of the Maine Society of Anesthesiologists will be held in the Bar Harbor Boardroom at the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel & Event Center, Bar Harbor on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 2 to 5 pm in conjunction with the Maine Medical Association's Annual Session.

Topics to be discussed at MeSA's Business Meeting include:

  • ASA update

  • State Legislative Update

  • MeSA PAC Trustee Elections

  • Report on Advocacy and Patient Safety

  • Resident Engagement

Annual Winter Meeting at Sugarloaf 
 February 7 - 8, 2026

The Maine Society of Anesthesiologists' Annual Winter Meeting will be held on Saturday, February 7 and 8, 2026 at the Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel, Carrabassett Valley, Maine.  The business meeting will be held on February 7, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  There will be an American Society of Anesthesiologists federal update from an ASA elected physician leader. State legislative updates on anesthesia will be provided by Attorney Charles Soltan.   Andrew MacLean, CEO of the Maine Medical Association, will provide a legislative update for the House of Medicine.

Following the business meeting will be a reception. Additional details TBD.   Sunday morning will feature sessions on trends in anesthesia.

Fees: Registration is $100. Guests and family members are welcome to join us for Saturday night's social and reception. If you'd like to bring a guest to dinner, the cost is $45. There is no extra cost for the Sunday morning breakfast for families.
